O Christmas .... tree?

We were hunting for the perfect tree, and who would have thought we would find it right in my apartment complex??!!??

We didn't want to have to haul it all the way back to my building so Mike went and got his truck and we strapped it on top! Whew... it made it back safe!!

Where to put it?? I know the perfect place!!

Mike positioning it just right

Hanging the ornaments

It's done! It's B-E-A-utiful!!

I hope Santa's helper brings me a good present, and not the kind you are thinking of!

Thanksgiving in Paradise!

This Thanksgiving, I took Mike to Sarasota, FL for a big family thanksgiving/wake for my Aunt Caddie who passed is September. This is a picture is of Mike at Marina Jacks admiring the boats/yachts. This is where my Aunt Caddie use to keep her boat.

Not only were there nice boats, but nice cars too.

Its hard to tell but there was a dolphin swimming around the Marina. You are almost always going to see a dolphin at the Marina.

One night they decided to have a dance party, some decided to dress up. Family doing the Electric Slide.

Mike enjoying a cigar on the balcony.

Me getting ready to leave for dinner.

Family, there was only 33 of us on Thanksgiving for dinner and the wake. And about 25 at every meal.

Mike and my Uncle Jack, Mike thought it was crazy that he use to smoke 11 cigars a day, but has now cut back to 4!

Dad and baby Elizabeth. She was soooo cute!!

Family sharing memories!

Cousins minus 5!

The view of the sunset from the condo! I love that we can see the sunset there! its so beautiful and we were lucky to have one every night! no rain!

Jesse (my brother) watching football

Dad watching football. (can you tell they are related)

Mike enjoying the beach. I think he liked the soft powder sand that doesnt get hot, and the water that you can see down to your toes!!

This is the beach I grew up going to every year, I was spoiled. A hell of a lot different from Myrtle Beach.

Weekend Fun.. maybe too much

I started out the weekend with a 826 Reunion it was so much fun to go out with my old roomies again... i dont think ive stayed out till 4 in the morning since I lived with them. I am the oldest by 2 weeks. I think because I am older I have a harder time staying out. that's what I am going to blame it on anyways.

(me, michelle, josey, bethany)

I got these pictures from Josey - some reason they are smaller. and how Matt got in the picture with all of us girls - who knows.

I do not remember what happened here. but its funny.

bethany and i are definately looking at another camera - but whos?

Saturday I continued the festivities by going tailgating and to the USC v. UF game. This is mike driving in his new car on the way to pick up devin. He got a Tahoe and I love it!

Me, Skylynn (megan's neice) and Megan - too cute

Mike and I :)

Carol and Brian

Mike and Megan

Sunday Mike and I ventured to Sesquitenial (spelling ?) state park. Neither one of us had been. I really liked it! Who would have thought this cute park would be in columbia?!?!

This is a funny story. Mike and Tank were walking towards the lake and I was like oh what a cute picture. Then tank, being part blind, didnt see the lake and as I was taking the picture PLUNK he went into the lake - it was funny. I am not sure he liked it though.

The after picture, he's looking at me like "mom what just happened?"

It was really pretty with all the leaves changing.

I decided to use my black & white settings on a few pictures too.i thought this one was cute, althought it's hard to see tank's face.

One Year!

Yesterday was our one year anniversary and we celebrated by going to the Melting Pot. Neither one of us had ever been, but it was a lot of fun.
We started off with a Fiesta Cheese Dip, then a house salad, followed by the Fondue Feast only to finish it all off with the Smores Chocolate dip.

Mike enjoying the shrimp.

Cooking in the pot. The feast included chicken, pork, sirloin, steak, ravioli, wild mushroom ravioli, mushrooms, broccoli, squash and potatoes.

The cheese dip we chose came with 3 different types of bread, tortilla chips, granny smith apples, carrots, celery, and cauliflower (spelling?)

When they brought the dessert out the flambeed table side! It looked a lot cooler in person. The dessert was a chocolate with marshmellow cream with crushed grahm crackers on the top. We had marshmellow that were covered in either grahmn crackers or oreos, bananas, strawberrys, cheesecake, brownies, pound cake and grahmn crackers to dip in the chocolate. It was amazing!!!

We had a great night and its been an amazing year!! Thanks to everyone who has been with us this past year to make so many memorable moments!
